Lotus: Hanging out with dad while he's playing her songs on the piano.

This week has been one of challenges for me. It happens to be that my job really needs me to fulfill my hourly quota for the week and that's been an adjustment. I haven't had to adjust myself to a true full time schedule since she's been born, but I really have to buckle down. Even if that means working 6-7 days a week. It's just what has to be done. My blessing comes in the form of me being home with her. It's worth it.

Lotus is having difficulty with her schedule. She is ever-changing (as babies often are) and that is throwing me for a loop. I have never had to adjust to a baby and she is testing all of the patience I've ever had. Oh my... sometimes when she cries I have to clap as loudly as I can to get her to stop for a few minutes. Having a baby is tremendous.

Of course, I have been thinking about baby numero dos. It will be a few years off anyways, but we have already talked about names, the idea, and I think we are both on the same page. Lotus will need a friend growing up. I love my sister and hope that Lo will get the same opportunity to have that with another little human.

  2. First, I LOVE that photo. She's such cute-butt.

It's hard, isn't it? Wonderful and amazing and everything lovely, but also extremely difficult. I can't imagine having to work full time at home while also caring for a young one, but I too would jump on the opportunity to do so if it were available. I hope it gets a bit easier to manage as she grows.

We are on the same page about siblings too. We know we'll wait to try until Iz is nearly 2 or later so we can get a better handle on finances and other things, but I agree, I love my sister and brother and want Iz to have one or more as well.

I hope this week brings you time to get it all done and doesn't require too many extreme clapping episodes. <3
